Engagement Party at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston

As a live wedding illustrator, I get to attend many wonderful events. But I have never seen anything like this engagement party at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Between the incredible venue (if you’ve never visited the MFA Boston, you need to put it on your list!) and the layers of entertainment, this event will never be forgotten. I was honored to be one of the artists included in this incredible engagement party!

An Evening to Remember at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston

With over 450 guests filtering into the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, I knew this was going to be an amazing night. But I had no idea how amazing. This couple spared no expense on creating an experiential masterpiece for their guests. They flew a DJ in from Mumbai in addition to a live band and the orchestra that played on the grand steps during cocktail hour. Each vendor, including myself, wore pastel green to complement the couple’s vision, and it came together beautifully.

They had tables overflowing with food for cocktail hour so guests could mingle before the seated dinner. The Museum of Fine Arts Boston was a perfect location, and they filled it with lush floral arrangements that rivaled the art itself. They even had a separate room for kids so everyone could enjoy the party carefree.

I was one of three live illustration artists for the occasion. Despite having endless entertainment (including a live samurai artist), guests still loved having their portraits illustrated! There’s something special about being able to remember not just an event, but the way you looked and felt during it. The couple even purchased wooden frames so every guest could frame their illustration! Live sketches are something everyone loves, even those who may not enjoy having their photos taken. While I’m sketching, I can adjust body height and size, hair and lip color, and customize the illustration to their liking. I had a wonderful time meeting the guests at this stunning engagement party!
